Ro Copenhagen and WWF: A collaboration with care for nature
At Ro Copenhagen, we design jewellery with a love for craftsmanship and a deep respect for the world around us. That’s why we were incredibly proud when we could present in, October 2024, a new piece of jewellery created in collaboration with WWF, a tribute to the beauty of nature and our shared responsibility to protect it.
WWF
WWF is one of the world’s most respected organisations in nature conservation. Since the 1960s, they have worked tirelessly to create a world where people and nature thrive in harmony. Their efforts span over 100 countries and thousands of projects, protecting wildlife, restoring habitats, and combating climate change. Their vision of a sustainable future is one we at Ro Copenhagen wholeheartedly support.
A Natural Connection
Our goal has always been to combine quality and care in our designs. Each piece of jewellery is crafted with meticulous attention – from the initial sketches to selecting the finest materials and responsible suppliers. Our collaboration with WWF was a natural extension of this philosophy. Read more about our sustainable initiatives here.
We believe that the choices we make as individuals and as a business can make a difference. By collaborating with WWF, we supported their vital work in protecting wildlife and natural resources – from the rainforests of the Amazon to the icy habitats of the Arctic.
No one can save the world alone
WWF doesn’t just work with governments and companies; they also collaborate with local communities who live in and depend on nature. It’s this collective effort that enables real change in improving conditions for nature and creating a more sustainable future for all.
No one can save the world alone, but together, we can create change. The earring was a small gesture that symbolised exactly that – our shared responsibility and united efforts to preserve the planet we call home.
The WWF X RO Orbit Dot Pearl Earring was available for purchase online, on wwf.dk, and at select retailers. For every sale, we donated 40% of the amount to support WWF’s important conservation efforts.

After a year of donations and a shared passion for protecting nature, our collaboration with WWF has now officially come to an end. This means that the dedicated earring, originally launched as part of the partnership, now enters as a natural addition to our permanent Orbit Collection.
It has been a meaningful journey: with every earring sold, a portion was donated to WWF’s important work in preserving nature, wildlife, and the climate. Now, the earring continues its life within our Orbit universe.
We are grateful for the support you have shown - for both the piece and the cause. And even though the fundraising chapter has concluded, the values behind the collaboration remain: thoughtfulness in our materials, respect for nature, and the Nordic calm that flows through our design.

What happens now?
Although the official partnership with WWF has concluded, we at Ro Copenhagen continue to work from the same values that shaped the project: care, responsibility, and respect for our shared nature. We will keep exploring more conscious ways of creating -from material choices and production to long-term initiatives.
The Orbit Dot Pearl earring S lives on as a reminder of this focus. It is crafted with the same dedication as always yet carries an added story: the idea that even small choices can make a meaningful impact.
We look forward to sharing more projects where aesthetics and responsibility go hand in hand - and to continuing to invite you into a universe where jewellery is more than adornment, but a bearer of something greater.
